Firefly Sisterhood fosters community-based one-to-one connections between women recently diagnosed with breast cancer and inspirational survivors. Having someone to talk with who has been where you are has a powerful effect on wellbeing.
The strength of Firefly programming lays in the one-to-one match of a Firefly mentor and a woman in active treatment for breast cancer. Mentors are women who have experienced a breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, surgery or reconstruction and are willing to offer their story, comfort and encouragement to another woman facing a similar experience.
