Congrats to Scooter, the 2018 March Meowdness Champion! We caught up with the champ for an exclusive interview to see how he’s doing following his incredible tournament run!
Cats vs Cancer: So Scooter, what does it feel like to be crowned the 2018 March Meowdness Champion?
Scooter: It feels like finding that perfect sunny spot on the floor, only turned up to 11.
CvC: You’re in pretty good company with previous winners Klaus, Cole, and Cheens. Did they give you any advice before the tournament?
Scooter: Those guys? Oh wow, if only. They are internet cat royalty!
CvC: What’s your favorite activity when you’re not posing for cute instagram pictures?
Scooter: My top 3 favorite activities are smelling the great outdoors, wrestling with my buddy #petethecat, and watching over the squirrels in the backyard.
CvC: There’s a lot of adorable cats on Instagram, what’s the key to taking a a great photo? Is it all in the lighting? Or is it more about catching you in the moment?
Scooter: When you have green eyes like these? Just point and shoot. It also helps that I live with 3 other extremely good looking cats.
CvC: Do you have a favorite treat? Favorite toy you like to play with?
Scooter: Popcorn is my jam, better than any cat treat. Mom always gives me the soft parts. And a cardboard scratcher covered in catnip makes any day the best.
CvC: Anything else you’d like your fans to know?
Scooter: I’m a 2 year lymphoma survivor myself, so thanks to Cats Vs Cancer for fighting the good fight. I was so lucky to be included in the tournament, and we are all winners!
