We are thrilled to announce Angel 34 Foundation as our charity partner for the month of October! That means for the entire month, every cat video you watch here on our site, or direct donation you make via our “donate meow” page, helps us raise money in support of their mission.
Angel 34 is a local foundation with funds supporting children and families in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and the surrounding communities and counties.
Since its establishment in 2003, Angel 34 has been committed to bringing hope and healing to the children and families of those affected by childhood cancer by finding a cure and advancing treatment options for childhood cancer.
The Angel 34 Foundation was started by Nicole Sheriff when she was fourteen years, old during her battle with Ewing’s sarcoma, a very rare form of cancer. When Nicole established her foundation, she wanted to make sure that every child received the same excellent care she had received, and that there were enough nurses and staff to support them.
We lost Nicole in 2004, soon after her fifteenth birthday. She was one to always remind you that, “We are all Angels in disguise with God given talents to make a difference in the lives of others who are less fortunate.” That concern for others continues to this day with the Angel 34 Foundation and is part of the beautiful legacy of Nicole Sheriff. This winter the Lehigh Valley Health Network Children’s Cancer and Infusion Center will be named the Angel 34 Children’s Cancer and Infusion Center in recognition of Nicole Sheriff and the Angel 34 Foundation.
Angel 34 will continue helping children and their families battling cancer by supporting the children’s clinic, providing financial assistance to families, giving kids a refuge at Angel Field where they can swim and have fun, and supporting research to help end childhood cancer forever.
