We are thrilled to announce The B-Strong Foundation as our charity partner for the month of July! That means for the entire month, every cat video you watch here on our site, or direct donation you make via our “donate meow” page, helps us raise money in support of their mission.
The B-Strong Foundation provides support to families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer.
Many times a parent must leave their job to be with their child during cancer treatment. While they lose income, cost for medical co-pays, prescriptions and travel expenses to the hospital can increase drastically. The B-Strong Foundation provides aid in the form of payment for utilities, rent/mortgage payments, car payments and medical expense payments requested by the child’s social worker.
The B-Strong Foundation also provides meals to the oncology floor of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia through the Ronald McDonald House family room. While children are in the hospital for treatments, especially for an extended stay, a home cooked meal is sometimes just what they need. The foundation also creates gift baskets for newly diagnosed children.
